WHAT HAPPENED AT YOUR ARISE! CRY OUT! SITE?
How did God make His presence known at your site? Did He help you overcome an obstacle before the event? Was there a special atmosphere during Arise! Cry Out!? The Sunday afterwards, was the church abuzz in anticipation of what God was doing as a result of the time of prayer and fasting? How did your pastor help support and promote Arise! Cry Out!? We’d love to hear. Just hit “comment” and let us know.

  1. It was an incredibly powerful time of praise and prayer!

  2. Going to the site the weather was horrible and you could not see more than 3-4 feet in front of you. We had a very small group of eight women but God answered prayer in a mighty way. One of the women who came stated that she would have shared her concerns about her adult children. I have never prayed with such power. The church that we had the event had a group of six men praying for the two hours before we arrived. The pastor ran the video and was a servant in every way that he could. It was a reminder that God cares about us as individuals. I know that strongholds for this generation were broken.

We started out on the quiet side, just a remnant of women from our area. Some of us were MITI and some of us were new to the ministry. We were women of different generations. But as we prayed and the Spirit led, our voices were crying out to Him for the lives of our children! How awesome He is to bring us together in Him! What a privilege we shared to come before the throne of the Almighty! We left our prayers there before Him expectantly. Incredible--yet credible, because He is faithful!

As Pastor Miles McPherson said, “God is good,” and we echo, “All the time!”

  4. Our time of prayer in Fairbanks, Alaska was awesome. As our ACO team met each week to pray for the event we prayed that God would join us; that He would add the extra spiritual dimension that would bridge the gap between any difficulties that would keep us from fully participating in powerful prayer, be it denomination or personalities or watching a DVD rather than experiencing it live. God indeed joined us. We didn't get as many people as we had hoped, but those that came participated fully and sensed God's presence. We really felt like it was a great success.

In addition, we had two neat things happen:
    1. Governor Parnell of Alaska proclaimed Nov 14 a day of prayer for children and schools. Thanks OK for leading the way!
    2. Our sound system was all set and ready on Friday, but Saturday our tech pastor woke at 6:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. He decided to come start things up himself rather than have his wife do it as planned. When he arrived he found that the sound system had blown a fuse. It was all fixed and ready when we arrived, but if he hadn't come in we wouldn't have know what was wrong and may have missed using the DVD! God is so amazing and present and active!

Thank you MITI staff and volunteers. You did a terrific job with all your preparations for this worldwide event. I sense a growing anticipation for revival in our land!

We had 36 women at our event. We held it in our Youth Room at the church do to a wedding planned in our sanctuary. It was perfect. I felt God's Spirit there between the women and myself that I prayed with. We all participated as though we were live and I am sure all were blessed by the event. I loved the teaching from Miles. I think it was well recieved and motivated us to pray fervently. Thank you Fern for your obedience to cooperate with the Lord in pulling this off. I am sure He was blessed.

  6. Our group met in Ruston, LA. It was a small group, but we each felt like it was a divine appointment! What a gift to have four uninterupted hours of 'face time' with the Lord. And I most comment on the quality of the dvd and just the planning and order of the recorded event. It was incrediblly well done. I did not look at my watch until it was over!! Thank you, Lord, for blessing the whole operation from begining to end and for protecting it the way you did. I think, over time, the magnitude of this event will be felt in each of our hearts and in the lives of those we prayed for.

  7. We prayed and wept, laughed and learned together in Eliot, Maine. All 35-40 of us (some came and went!) interacted with the DVD and sensed the Lord's blessing so powerfully. You should have heard us shout JESUS IS THE VICTOR! It is still ringing in my ears and in my heart. There was a nor'easter blowing outside with heavy rain and winds. The power stayed on throughout the DVD and clean-up and went out at 3 PM. Thank You, Lord, for blessing us even in that! I know God heard the cries of all our hearts and I look forward in anticipation to what He will do.

  8. Women shared that they were blessed to have taken part in the event - including single women, a home-schooling mom (who said she knew within minutes that that's where God wanted her on Saturday)and women who were already involved in Moms In Touch and said the time flew by. Some asked "Will MITI host this every year?" :)

Our tiny group, 7 in all, was extremely blessed. What a privilege to be able to be part of a global prayer. I shared with the group that, "yesterday at 2pm Auckland, New Zealand stared this prayer." What excitement that a wave of prayers (a sweet smelling incense) went up to the LORD the whole 24 hours. Jesus is the VICTOR!!! :D

  10. Our group was smaller, 8 women. Our AV person at church moved us to the smaller prayer chapel and we began. From the opening shofar, the tears flowed freely, and the Spirit of the Living God, was so evident. At one point, I realized we were not at the live event, but watching a television. the worship was amazing and all of us were challenged by both Fern and Miles. One young mom, came by herself, not knowing anyone, and was blessed to pray with others for her four precious children. Praise God for opened doors. Some had said they would have to leave early, but as the event unfolded, power of prayer grabbed the hearts of those there, and some could not leave. Jesus is the Victor!!!! Owatonna, MN

We had a great turn out and the presence of God was felt by all. The time of prayer was strong as tears were flowing. The worship was awesome as was the teaching. I was truly touched as I saw Fern with her family on stage. The strength of her husband as a man who steps aside as his wife is in the limelight is quite a testimony. So were her children. I am believing God for my children that not one would be left behind. It increased my faith in seeing what unwavering, unrelenting prayer will bring about!

  12. The confession time was especially tender between the four of us in my small group - I think women were moved to confess things freely that perhaps hadn't been voiced to another. I found the voices of the women who cried out "Worthy is the Lamb" in their own tongue so powerful! Indeed Jesus is Lord of heaven and ALL the earth - every tribe and language and people! Will this DVD be available to purchase in the future? Concord, CA

  13. We had a wonderful time on Saturday with over sixty women attending, and we had others meeting in out stations. The women followed the DVD very well and you should have heard all of them worshipping following the songs on the DVD. I had first thought they may not be able to follow but God is so good. By the end of it you should have heard the way they were singing. And they have asked if it will be a yearly event. Please pray with me so that God may give me the opportunity to make a follow up and visit these women to encourage them to continue arising to cry out for their children.

  14. We had a good turn out in New City, NY and from the very first notes of song everyone was so into it! At least 10 different churches were represented, but we sang, shouted, cried, laughed and prayed in such unity and joy. I had the privilege of being at the Live Event but Saturday was just as "live" and electrifying as Oct 10th! All of our hearts are full of praise and thanks to God for meeting each of us in a powerful way and uniting women around the world. We love the Lord, MITI and the privilege of praying for children and schools! Now we are praying for God to stir women's hearts to keep praying.

  15. Putting on the armor was my favorite part! It was a very different experience for me - 4 hours of prayer and time for God - powerful and exhilarting. I want more. Having been a part of a MITI group for 4 years, I feel a strong desire to learn more about my faither and how to incorporate it into my daily life.

  16. I want to use the DVD and repeat this event again. It was so powerful, the worship group was absolutely terrific, and the pastors' talk-he should be a stand up comedian, to Fern sharing with her family.I loved how her husband seamed content to step back and let her do her thing. And all the praying. We really prayed. That really got me the most. And the pictures of the kids all around teh world made our group recognize that kids all over the earth need our prayer. thank you to Moms in touch for putting this great event on.
We must keep praying. We are so blessed that we can and that God listens!

  17. We had about 15 women registered (Arlington Hts, IL) and though I don't know if all the registered women showed, I know more women showed and registered on site. Anticipating God to 'show' we began the 4 hours with a little hesitation but by the end we were all in tears having be touched by the Living God as we arose and cried out for our children and schools. One grandmother came because she heard the event announced on Moody Radio. She was not comfortable praying aloud at first and when we parted she said, 'that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.' She's looking to join a grandmothers MITI group soon. Praise God for the sweet time of prayer with sisters in Christ whom I've never met but will 'meet' in eternity. Jesus is the Victor and God is Good!

  18. I absolutely loved the communion with God and one another! The Spirit filled the sanctuary! The freedom to be truthful before God during confession and to be on our knees was healing. There was no sense of time, just delight being in God's presence. Thank you moms in touch for being obedient to God's call to Arise and Cry Out! Baxter, MN

  19. The comments from the attendees was that they were surprised how fast 4 hours went! Indeed, that is the case when we are seeking God with our hearts! He was powerfully with us through the whole event and the women all felt that God had heard their prayers! To have the hearts of unrelated women all praying in one accord is awesome and to have them glad that they came is complement to our God.

I enjoyed Miles McPherson's devotion about the power of corporate prayer. I was convicted by the Psalm 66:18 "If I cherished sin in my heart", knowing that I really needed to confess some sins. I was encouraged by Fern's closing remarks about not worrying about leaving our kids money but a legacy of prayer, that they would live in the environment of our prayers, even when we're gone. Wow! It was a wonderful time of like-minded praying mamas getting thru a tempermental DVD, but God was still praised through all of it. Thanks to all! Thanks be to God for this great ministry!

  21. The Reno and Carson City sisters got together to pray at our Arise! Cry Out! We had a wonderful time praying and crying together, though our group was about a small 17. God had prepared the way for us-our projection system had just been repaired a few days prior to the event! We saw friendships restored, barriers crossed, and women reach out in their faith for the first time. We had one sister who came from a 'differnt' background pray out loud for her children to be protected from the advances of the enemy--for the very first time. She found out today in a real, tangable way that God has protected them--a person at the home where her kids were babysat after school turned out to be a registered offender! She had just made other arrangements for her children a week ago. God is good-All the time, and He is the Victor! We look forward to seeing what else He will do.

  23. We felt the power of the Holy Spirit during this very special time with the Lord. He dwelled among us, and our time with him was precious. I am amazed how quickly time goes by in the presence of the Lord, and felt like I experienced a little taste of heaven on Saturday morning.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It was a taste of heaven to hear "Worthy is the Lamb" in so many languages. It was beautiful and that alone was meaningful. It was also poignant to think that as a united group, there is nothing impossible for us, because our purpose is God's. And it was a tender and meaningful experience to pray together for our children, families and schools. God's presense was very sweet.

What a sweet time of fellowship with my believing sisters in Christ! With tissues boxes abounding, we cried out with our faces toward heaven...and our extravagantly loving God heard and poured out His blessing upon us. Whether He answers our prayers in the way we "want" Him to or not - the important thing is that we met Him in a personal, intimate way on Saturday morning and we are forever changed.

We arrived early to set up, finding that the DVD did not come up on the screens. It all came together 10 minutes before we were to start. And even after successfully testing the video for the "glitche" in Miles' talk beforehand, the video stopped a few minutes into it. Laying hands on it, we prayed for the DVD and all others on Eastern Standard time who may be experiencing this glitche as well. The Lord got it up and running again in no time.

On Monday morning, after our MIT group met, we took food over to the High School we pray for, in displaying "Words & Deeds" to the teachers/staff/administration. At the end of the day, in picking up the serving dishes, we "happened to" run into the principal, who we talked with for 20 minutes. At the end, he shared that he wasn't a church going man, but that believed in the power of prayer, as he was on many prayer lists when he went through a battle with cancer 6 years ago. How incredible that God would orchestrate that meeting, putting on our hearts several weeks ago to take food in two days after we had Arise! Cry Out!, so that this principal could be ministered to! God is indeed good...ALL THE TIME!

God is so good - yes, all the time! We were blessed to have 35 women gather together in prayer on Sat. The presence of the Lord was so strong and tangible and the Holy Spirit convicted many hearts that day. One woman wants to start a Grandma's In Touch group from our time together. A teacher came who has no children but has a heart for all the kids she works with. Thank you to Fern and all who spoke and sang - the power and truth of God's Word was so clear. The worship was a foretaste of the feast to come. Many asked if we could do this again. There is a sweetness in gathering in one accord before the Father. Praise to our GOOD and MIGHTY God!

  27. Oh where to begin. The facilitators of North Little Rock, AR were definitely listening to the quite whisper from God, the need placed on their hearts for this event (for children). From having a wiki site to 36 days out coming up with the attributes of who HE is, to seven days out coming up with the idea of walking around the grounds of the facility everyday praying for walls to be broken down to the morning of the event walking around seven times. Asking the men of the congregation to sign-up to pray (AT the facility) the 24 hours prior to the event.
The actual ACO went off with no problems. Even if the numbers were not what WE hoped it would be. There was still a good number (76) women who experienced the AWESOME power of prayer. Hearts were touched, tears and barriers came down and prayers rushing up (in unison with sisters all over the world). Thank you God for MITI, the servant and obedient heart of Fern, the power of prayer and the ability to bow at your feet and come directly to you! Oh what your finished picture must look like!

  28. Mihaela in Bucharest Romania.
I am very happy to write you about "Arise! Cry Out " in Romania. God still makes great things in our century, because He is and remains the same: God Almighty.
Before a few months I didn't think it could be possible to celebrate this event together with moms and women around the world. But with some days before the last registration online I received the links from MITI USA and from Debbie too, who came in August this year to Bucharest. And I thought - not very convinced - what would be if I register me there and I didn't realized what that realy ment; a big responsability to organize too this event. So stept by step - with help from Christian from Switerland, who my wonderful coordinator is, and with help other sisters, who prayed for me - I could organized this day of prayer here in Bucharest.
In one conversation online with Christina I confessed to her that I think and know in my heart that it will be very nice, just even I had no evidence for it. But one day God spoke in a moment into my heart and I heard His assurance; it will be great.
When I was in that location on Saturday and finished preparing things and proofing the DVD I saw not much women there. 15 minutes before begining we were just 5 women. We all came earlier and 25 minutes before begining I decided to pray that God help the other women to come saftely, cause the location was in a place not easy to come to. In 15 God brought more women and some of them came also later. We were at the end 30 women that were praying.
that was for me a great miracle of God, but also the evidence that God realy spoke into my heart about this event here and He kept His promise. I am so thanksful to HIM! He does great and marvelous things!
    Worthy is the Lamb!!

  29. Life Center ACO in Tacoma WA.
The day before ACO I received two phone calls from young moms who were not able to come to the gathering, but would like to start a MIT group. Three days after the 14th one of the moms had found two other moms to start a MITI group with...we were excited together!! The other mom has connected twice and is still looking for her moms...which is great! Quick answer to prayer concerning more MITI groups. Seven MITI books were purchased at ACO and generous donations were made.
Three of us walked and prayed over every seat in the chapel before women arrived, and one woman who entered said, "WHOA". The power of the Holy Spirit fell on her!! He remained throughout the four hours of prayer as our group praised with tears, confessed, thanked Him, and interceded with tears. MIT and tears go hand in hand!
It was so thrilling to think of all the moms in the world who prayed before us, with us in our time zone, and after us. God was moving by His Spirit over all the earth!
Those who stayed the whole four hours received the 'full meal deal'. In fact, the glow of Jesus that day has remained in the hearts of His women...pressed down and overflowing. Jesus is The Victor!!!

  30. We only had two or three women registered, but sixteen showed up at the event. I had been skeptical of the DVD format, thinking that it might seem artificial, but it didn't. It seemed almost like a live event. At one point, when Pastor McPherson said something amazing, one mom behind me said "Wow!" The next words out of Pastor McPherson's mouth on-screen were "Wow is right!" Everyone giggled. It was a very powerful time of prayer, and I just had a sense of great joy while praying in the small group.

  31. We felt the power of prayer from the beginning of the week and ending with ACO. As our local church suffered a severe tragedy on Tuesday with the death of a precious 1 yr. old we were faced with possible cancellation BUT the Lord intervened allowing us to keep our plans and then support the family on Sun. and Monday. The first Mom to arrive had fully grown children which she had prayed for for yrs. but had never been able to participate in any MIT events til Sat. The Lord knew of this particular woman as well as the other 2dozen or so who joined with us---He is the Victor and Sustainer!!

  32. Our event in College Station, TX was a powerful time of prayer, praise and encouragement for the 8 women who attended.
We joined together in prayer and felt God's powerful presence. What a blessing to be a part of this amazing event with women from around the world!

  33. We finally have a consistent MITI group at our Christian school this year, this being our third attempt, and most of our women were able to attend. I am encouraged to see so many groups across the states were small like we were...we were all in the same boat, but together our voices were louder than we can imagine!
We had a wonderful time of prayer with about 16 of us from the area. We are hoping so much that God will begin to move in this area to start MITI groups at every school, not just at our school. Our schools and children are desperate for prayer.
While we sensed opposition from the enemy (our DVD froze on and off for the entire 2nd half after our tech guy had left), we persevered and found our hearts more closely linked because of the experience.
PLEASE let us use the DVD again in the future, especially since we missed a total of about 30 minutes! We think this could be God's plan to reach more women in the future in our area who are currently unfamiliar with MITI through this time of prayer!

The Holy Spirit was surely present. We are all blessed. Thank you for all your work and devotion to bringing it to us!

  38. We had 15 women at our site, and we were all blessed beyond measure. Eventhough I had tested the DVD twice previously--and it ran through all of Miles' message perfectly, the DVD forze on Saturday. After 5 minutes of trying to get it to work, we turned it off and proceeded to pray prayers of petition for 90 minutes. Oh what blessed minutes we shared! One mom told me on the way out that she considered the problem with the DVD God's divine intervention to cause us to pray even longer! Many thanks for all of the hard work and acts of love that went into preparing this day for us. May the mighty servants at MITI be completely refreshed by Jesus!

  40. I am struck by how many of the groups were 7 or 8 women. Our group was 8 women in North Scottsdale, Arizona. One of us knew at least one other person in the group but all of us met 3 or 4 new sisters in Christ. During the prayer for prodigals I sat down along with another mom I had prayed in MITI with for about three years. These women whom we had never met before surrounded us and laid their hands on us and prayed to Almighty God for our prodigals. I felt the Holy Spirit promising us that God would see our sons safely through their rebellion and back to His throne of grace - IN HIS TIME! We cried, we laughed, we prayed and we sang! Thank you Lord for Moms In Touch International.

We had about 30 ladies come. Some from MIT, and some new Moms. We were able to hand out flyers at a womens ministry meeting, where 3 moms said they would like to start groups for their schools, and at the event on Saturday another mom wanted to start a group for our local community college. The event itself was wonderful. The DVD was so annointed. It didn't matter we were such a small group, as we began praising and praying we were blessed. The teaching by Miles on corporate prayer was excellent, and I have been able to share it with others that could not come.Thank you so much for all you did to put this together.

Arise! Cry Out! was a wonderful spirit filled 4 hours (which went by way to fast!) of giving glory to the Lord! We had 22 ladies, 3 new to MITI, 2 have already started praying in a group this week! Sunday after ACO there were 4 of us ladies that came back to the church to see "Teen Challenge" which is a group of singers that have gone through the courts for abusive situations. There was one lady in the choir that gave her testimony about when she walked into the sanctury that morning she had a vision of the Lord cupping His hands around her face and telling her how much He loves her and that He is her Father! Of course us 4 ladies cried because we had just envisioned that the day before at the Arise! Cry Out! event! Praise the Lord for He is Good all the time!

  45. Fern Nichols called me and I missed the call!!!??? She wanted to thank me for the prayer quilt we sent from our ACO event!!! It encouraged her she said, she is so gracious.

The quilt was made up and waiting in the cupboard back in September when it was requested by Mike our pastor I said "pink hearts and brown" God knew the rest, because it also had the word love all over it. It happened to be the 1600 quilt the Inland Hills Church quilters have made!!!

Fern, it is Gods encouragement for being so obedient!
Love was the character of God we focused on for ACO praise and the world had over 1600 sites praying in one accord.

Just one of 100’s of the God things about that day I am sure!!

I am privileged to pray with such warriors.

  46. A spa for the heart. We don't realize how much junk we carry around until we come to Jesus and soak in his presence. As we progressed through the "usual" 4 parts of prayer, it was such a deep cleansing. I really appreciated all those that contributed to ACO. The 45-50 of us that shared that morning were truly touched. More than one has admitted that she went home exhausted with that good kind of tired. Lord, may we continue to give you our WHOLE lives to use for your kingdom.

  47. Debbie of Bellingham, WA..I am blessed all over again just reading these comments with a box of kleenex in hand. As Jill stated the ACO event was a true spiritual cleansing and divine appointment. God had put Gideon on my heart the previous week and I knew He would bring the women He knew needed to be at the event. For ourselves and for our children. As Pastor Miles put it the room seemed quite "balanced" by the 17 women present. We laughed, cried, and were humbled before the Lord. I had the right prayer partner and thank God for her. The Lord also showed us He was at work in our community just before and after ACO. The death of Specialist Aaron Aamot of Custer, WA, in Afgh. the week before brought our County together to support the family and each other, in such a way.. AND THEN, Aaron's memorial service was scheduled for 1 pm at the high school right after the ACO event. No coincidence. I thank God Aaron and his family know the Lord and hope they will come to know that sometimes our highest good comes from our deepest suffering. Also, another school has a MIT, praise God!

It was awesome to pray with her--me in English and her in Korean--knowing God knew all that was said even though I didn't. It was also a huge blessing to see my church, Cornerstone, open it's doors wide open for us. I got to work with amazing women to plan for the event. One of them (unbeknownst to both of us) was the person I originally heard about MIT through 4 years ago through our church bulletin. Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of something so hugely wonderful!

  50. As a result of Arise, Cry out! I made the decision to start a new Moms In Touch group for a school with which our church has a partnership.

I also began an intentional prayer time with my family. We had been saying a quick prayer after evening devotions. Now, using the Moms In Touch format as a model, we are praying specifically for one member of the family each night. I think it's powerful to spend time praying together for one another and especially powerful for the kids to hear the prayers other family members are praying for them.

I was convicted that I need to try again to raise up a group of praying moms for my son's school. Please continue to pray for me to have courage in asking women to pray and it believing in the power of prayer. We serve an awesome God!

  52. I had the privledge of attending the live event in San Diego and then looking forward to hosting it and experiencing again! What a surge of enthusiasm I had in preparing for inviting the community knowing what was in store for them. I knew that maybe I was just planting a seed in inviting those unfamiliar with Moms In Touch, but what a great way to introduce them to corporate prayer!
The power of God working in us that day was so powerful, especially knowing that we were praying the globe over, and roots were uprooted in victory.
The visual picture Fern showed us in introducing her family was such a faith builder, knowing we were praying over our own families future generation as well. To see an eternal perspective in our devotion to our prayer life was so convicting...
as well as putting on the armor, wearing a crown, praying for prodigals, speaking new life into scripture, and knowing that the hyenas are encroaching, but Jesus is the Victor!
thank you Fern, for in showing us the format of prayer and obedience in our walk, we can unlock God's power!!!

  53. On Nov. 12th our host site facilitator here in Montana was on the phone with me, going over details. We were having record snowfall: 2 feet of heavy snow in a day. We prayed that the power would stay on so that I could print programs. While working on the computer later I heard a loud "whump" outside. Everything looked o.k. until 3 power company trucks pulled up. The neighbor's tree had lost a large high limb. It fell on their line and and bent their power pole. We soon discovered that our huge spruce had also lost a heavy thick limb that was 30 feet long! That limb had grown out half way up the tree and went up at a 90 degree angle to the top. It twisted as it fell and had wrapped around our power line but put no pressure on the line. Our neighborhood never lost power, the programs were printed, and we were spared hundreds of dollars in tree trimming costs. God is so gracious!
